Dear friends and family,
Christmas has arrived ten days early for us, in the form of a three year old little girl named Sarah. She is with us on a temporarily permanent basis, while her family does what they need to do to have her returned to them. Only time will tell if and when that will ever happen, but we are praying for God's will for that situation, whatever that may be. In the meantime, however, we will be showering her with much love and attention.

Sarah is very shy, but once she begins talking, she has the cutest southern accent we have ever heard....almost to the point where she is hard to understand! She is very quick to show her attention to me, however, is still warming up to Nathan; we are already predicting that before too long, she will be attached to him! Sarah is petite and small, yet has very long legs! Her hair is also very long, and goes down to the middle of her back! She loves wearing hair bows and loves picking them out! Her favorite color is pink and she loves princesses, but her favorite character is Dora the Explorer! She is turning four on January 10, 2007, and the theme of her party will be Princess Dora!



Sarah is a very good eater and loves oatmeal, grits, peaches, and of course, chicken nuggets! On her first night with us, we went to our niece, Rileigh's, 4th birthday party and Sarah ate three pieces of pizza and a huge piece of cake! Needless to say, she ate more than we did! She slept the whole night through, without any incidents or accidents, and was sound asleep the 100 times I went to check on her!

The most captivating feature is Sarah's eyes. They are big and brown and hauntingly sad. The amazing thing is that when she smiles, that look of worry and sadness completely disappears, which just melts our heart. We're hoping that in the upcoming days and weeks, happy eyes will replace the sad eyes.

Chili is very curious about our new little addition, and does whatever she can to be as close to Sarah as possible! At first, Sarah wasn't too sure of Chili, but she is warming up to her and loves to pet her!

We have attached some pictures that we have taken...she is camera shy, but still gorgeous. We'll be sending more pictures in the upcoming days.

For all of you who have shared in our struggles of having a family, thank you for all of your prayers, thoughts and wishes. We hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas and that 2007 is filled with many happy times and memories!
